Alchemy Leveling Guide
for WoW Forever (1-300)

Alchemy turns herbs into the potions and elixirs every raider and PvP player burns through. Demand never dries up, which makes it one of the steadiest professions for long-term gold. The route below is the cheapest Classic-tested path, and the shopping list tells you exactly what to stock.

Beta note: WoW Forever keeps the Classic 1-300 profession structure, the rank gates match Classic (see the table below) and new recipes have been datamined, so details can shift between beta snapshots. The routes below are Classic-tested; check the current recipe before buying materials in bulk.

Alchemy skill brackets and ranks

WoW Forever uses the Classic rank gates, so use these. You cannot train the next rank until you meet both the character level and the skill minimum.

Alchemy leveling route: 1 to 300

One continuous chain: each stretch uses cheap, trainer-taught recipes, and the Lesser Healing Potions you brew early get consumed again at 60 to 105.

Alchemy materials shopping list

Buy about 10% extra herbs to cover yellow and green skill-up luck. Crystal Vials come from any alchemy vendor: never buy them on the Auction House.

Recipe sources

• Almost every leveling recipe is taught by Alchemy trainers. No recipe hunting needed for the core route.
• Recipe: Major Healing Potion comes from Evie Whirlbrew in Everlook, Winterspring. Pick it up before the final stretch.
• Expert rank (Classic gates: skill 125, level 20) from Ainethil in Darnassus or Doctor Herbert Halsey in Undercity. Artisan (Classic: skill 225, level 35) from Kylanna Windwhisper in Feathermoon Stronghold, Feralas, or Rogvar in Stonard, Swamp of Sorrows. In Forever the rank gates are character level 5/10/20/35 with skill minimums (see the table above).
• After 300, Transmute: Arcanite (from Alchemist Pestlezugg in Gadgetzan, needs 275 skill) is the classic steady income.

Where to farm herbs

• Early herbs (Peacebloom, Silverleaf, Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Stranglekelp): starter zones, the Barrens, Darkshore and Westfall.
• Mid herbs (Bruiseweed, Wild Steelbloom, Kingsblood, Liferoot): Stranglethorn Vale and Arathi Highlands.
• Late herbs (Sungrass, Blindweed, Gromsblood, Plaguebloom, Dreamfoil, Golden Sansam, Mountain Silversage): the Hinterlands, Un'Goro Crater, Felwood and Winterspring. Blindweed grows near water in Swamp of Sorrows, Un'Goro and Maraudon.

Making gold with Alchemy

• Superior Mana Potions, Free Action Potions and Major Healing Potions sell best around raid nights and battleground weekends.
• Transmute: Arcanite is daily, reliable income once learned.
• Flask recipes from Molten Core and protection potions for Ahn'Qiraj become big sellers as the server progresses.

Alchemy in WoW Forever: what is new

Dozens of new Alchemy recipes have been datamined for Forever, so expect fresh options alongside this Classic route. Your camp buff is Mana per 5, which does not stack with a Paladin's Blessing of Wisdom. Like every profession, you get your first campfire object at skill 20, with stronger tiers at 140 and 200.
