WoW Forever Tier Sets:
Season 1 Armor Sets & Bonuses
Tier sets are named armor sets that grant extra bonuses when you wear several pieces together. Every known Season 1 tier set for all nine classes, with the full 2, 3, 4 and 5-piece bonuses. Everything here is datamined from the beta, so the numbers can change before launch.
What are WoW Forever tier sets?
Each class gets one or more tier sets for Season 1. Classes with several roles get a set per role: Druid, Paladin, Priest, Shaman and Warrior each have two to four sets, while Hunter, Mage, Warlock and Rogue have one set each.
How tier set bonuses work
Bonuses unlock as you wear more pieces of the same named set:
- 2 pieces: unlocks the 2-piece bonus.
- 3 pieces: unlocks the 3-piece bonus too.
- 4 pieces: unlocks the 4-piece bonus too.
- 5 pieces: unlocks the 5-piece bonus too.
Only pieces of the same named set count together. Three pieces of Grovekeeper Raiment and one piece of Grovekeeper Rage gives you only the 2-piece and 3-piece bonuses of Grovekeeper Raiment, not a mix of both.
How to get tier sets
Tier sets come from Season 1 endgame content. Some versions are crafted by players. The crafted versions, called Artisan sets, need a material named Malleable Essence of Nature. This comes from disenchanting items from the new Hyjal Summit and Barrow Deeps raids, with each crafted piece needing 3 essences.
The recipe sources are not confirmed yet, so this part can change:
- Crafted pieces are Bind on Equip, so they can be traded.
- You can only equip one crafted tier piece at first, which means no set bonus yet.
- Raising your Guardians of Hyjal reputation lifts the limit to two, which unlocks the 2-piece bonus.
The beta data shows four items per set right now, with data entries for six. More pieces may be added as the beta goes on. For more on the crafting side, see the professions guide and the dungeons and raids guide.
