How WoW Forever Talent Data Is Sourced & Updated

- Calculator planning rules: full-game level 60, 51 talent points at level 60, and the first talent point at level 10. The current beta cap is level 30 with 21 standard talent points; full-game plans include talents not yet reachable in the beta.
The talent ranks, positions and prerequisites were checked against the source export generated on 15 October 2026 on 16 October 2026. This review applies to talent trees; other collections have their own source dates.
Spell pages combine matched records from that export with older client entries where no current match was available. Each page shows its source dates. Talent-unlocked spells are identified separately from trainer spells. Blizzard’s October 15 notes take precedence where an export carries older live-behavior notes. The October 16 export now also lists Cultivation’s 15-minute cooldown; its talent trees and spell tooltip values match the October 15 snapshot used here.
Winter’s Chill source comparison
The October 15 client export describes a 40% Cone of Cold damage increase per stack. Blizzard’s same-day notes contain that description and another formula using a 5% damage bonus plus 7% Spell Damage per stack. The reference page preserves the client text; the build guide describes the Cone of Cold setup without assuming either coefficient is confirmed live. Both sources agree that Winter’s Chill no longer grants the old Frost critical-chance bonus.
Data source and attribution
The calculator uses talent data from talentsforever.com for the class trees, talent positions, row requirements, prerequisites, costs, and rank text shown in the calculator and reference pages.
This data is used under the CC BY 4.0 license. WoW Forever Talent is an independent fan project, not an official Blizzard tool. World of Warcraft names, icons, and artwork belong to Blizzard Entertainment.

Beta changes and share links
Beta data can change before launch. I update the calculator and class reference pages when a new snapshot is available. A share link stores your class, level, and talent points, but it uses the current talent data when opened, so review an older build after a major update.
The calculator checks talent points and requirements; it does not simulate damage, compare gear, or prove that one build is best. Use the starter builds as ideas, then test your choices in game.
