Enchanting Leveling Guide
for WoW Forever (1-300)

Enchanting breaks unwanted gear into magical dust, essences and shards, then spends them on permanent gear enchants. It is the only profession that makes money from other players' trash, and high-end enchant formulas are some of the most valuable recipes in the game.

Beta note: WoW Forever keeps the Classic 1-300 profession structure, the rank gates match Classic (see the table below) and new recipes have been datamined, so details can shift between beta snapshots. The routes below are Classic-tested; check the current recipe before buying materials in bulk.

Enchanting skill brackets and ranks

WoW Forever uses the Classic rank gates, so use these. You cannot train the next rank until you meet both the character level and the skill minimum.

Enchanting leveling route: 1 to 300

Craft one runed rod per tier as you go, then spam the cheapest enchant per bracket. The whole route below assumes you disenchant your own supply.

Enchanting materials shopping list

Buy about 10% extra dust to cover yellow and green skill-up luck. Base rods (Copper through Arcanite) come from enchanting supply vendors.

Recipe sources

• Rod recipes (Runed Copper through Runed Arcanite) are trainer-taught; buy the base rods from enchanting supply vendors.
• Formula: Enchant Shield: Greater Stamina comes from Mythrin'dir in Darnassus (Alliance) or Daniel Bartlett in Undercity (Horde).
• Formula: Runed Arcanite Rod and Formula: Enchant Cloak: Superior Defense come from Lorelae Wintersong in Moonglade.
• The 110 to 135 formulas (Lesser Strength bracer, Minor Agility cloak, Minor Stamina shield) are sold by vendors in Ashenvale (Alliance) and the Stonetalon Mountains (Horde).

Disenchanting bands

• Enchanting has no gathering. Disenchant green items by item level: Strange Dust from 5-25, Soul Dust 25-35, Vision Dust 35-45, Dream Dust 45-55, Illusion Dust 55-60. Essences and shards follow the same bands.
• The cheapest supply is greens you craft yourself (Tailoring is ideal) or cheap Auction House greens.

Making gold with Enchanting

• Rare dungeon and raid enchant formulas are the real income: farm them, then charge tips at the Auction House or in cities.
• Disenchanting is a service by itself: players pay you to break their unwanted epics.

Best professions to pair with Enchanting

Tailoring is the classic partner: sew greens, disenchant them, enchant the results. Leatherworking and Blacksmithing also feed it gear to break.

Enchanting in WoW Forever: what is new

63 new Enchanting formulas have been datamined for Forever, including new enchants for rings, necks, off-hands, bracers, gloves, cloaks and weapons. Your camp buff is Armor, Stats and Resist, which does not stack with a Druid's Mark of the Wild.
