First Aid Leveling Guide
for WoW Forever (1-300)

First Aid turns cloth into bandages that heal you between pulls. Every class benefits while leveling, it takes no primary profession slot, and the whole route costs little more than the cloth you were going to vendor anyway.
Beta note: WoW Forever keeps the Classic 1-300 profession structure, the rank gates match Classic (see the table below) and new recipes have been datamined, so details can shift between beta snapshots. The routes below are Classic-tested; check the current recipe before buying materials in bulk.
First Aid skill brackets and ranks
WoW Forever uses the Classic rank gates, so use these. You cannot train the next rank until you meet both the character level and the skill minimum.
| Rank | Skill cap | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Apprentice | 75 | Character level 5 |
| Journeyman | 150 | Character level 10 and 50 skill |
| Expert | 225 | Character level 20 and 125 skill |
| Artisan | 300 | Character level 35 and 200 skill |

Recipe sources
- Bandages are trainer-taught. The manuals (Under Wraps, Heavy Silk, Mageweave) come from Deneb Walker in Stromgarde Keep, Arathi (Alliance) or Balai Lok'Wein in Brackenwall, Dustwallow (Horde), or the Auction House.
- Artisan First Aid comes from the Triage quest: Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore (Alliance) or Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall (Horde). Heal 15 patients before 6 die. The same doctors teach the three heavy bandage recipes at 240, 260 and 290.
- Formula: Powerful Anti-Venom needs Argent Dawn Honored and First Aid 300: a niche but real raid consumable.
Where to farm cloth
- Cloth from level-appropriate humanoids: linen in starter zones and the Deadmines, wool around Hillsbrad, silk in Scarlet Monastery, mageweave in Tanaris and Feralas, runecloth in Winterspring, the Plaguelands and endgame dungeons.
Making gold with First Aid
- First Aid is not a gold profession. Sell spare bandages and surplus cloth on the Auction House; Powerful Anti-Venom is the one niche sale at 300.
Best professions to pair with First Aid
Tailoring for the cloth supply. Otherwise it pairs with anything: it uses no primary slot, so every character should have it.
First Aid in WoW Forever: what is new
17 new First Aid recipes have been datamined. Your camp buff is Stamina, which does not stack with a Priest's Power Word: Fortitude. The Legacy Field Medicine perk shortens the Recently Bandaged debuff (it does not work in dungeons, raids or battlegrounds).
First Aid leveling FAQs
Should every character take First Aid?
Yes. It costs no primary profession slot, levels on cloth you find anyway, and bandages save lives between pulls on every class.
What is the Triage quest?
The Artisan First Aid quest. A doctor gives you 15 wounded patients; heal them before 6 die. It is repeatable if you fail, so do not stress it.
Is First Aid useful at 60?
Bandages stay useful in dungeons and PvP, and Powerful Anti-Venom has niche raid uses. It is a support skill, not a gold maker.
Where do I get the manuals?
Deneb Walker (Alliance, Stromgarde) or Balai Lok'Wein (Horde, Brackenwall), or just buy them on the Auction House.
