Gnome Racials in WoW Forever
Gnomes got humbled mid-beta and are still S tier. Eureka! was reduced from 50% to 10% in the September 24 build, and the kit still competes at the top of both PvE and PvP. That tells you how strong the design is.
Gnome Racial Abilities in WoW Forever
Eureka!
Active · 2-minute cooldown
Your next 3 non-periodic damaging abilities cost 10% less and deal 10% more damage. Priests also get the boost on healing spells. Damage-over-time spells get nothing, so this rewards direct damage. It was 50% before the September 24 build reduced it.
Expansive Mind
Passive
+5% maximum Mana, Rage, or Energy. Whatever your resource is, you get more of it. Simple, always on, always useful.
Escape Artist
Active · 2-minute cooldown
Breaks all roots and snares, then grants 3 seconds of immunity to them. Melee cannot stick to you, and you choose when the escape happens. One of the best PvP buttons in the game.
Gnome PvE Guide: How Good Is Gnome for PvE?
PvE tier: S (the highest tier on the PvE racial tier list).
Even at 10%, Eureka! is a real damage window you line up with your biggest spells, and Expansive Mind's +5% max resource is free throughput on every pull. Gnome stays S tier after the nerf.
Gnome PvP Guide: How Good Is Gnome for PvP?
PvP tier: S (the highest tier on the PvP racial tier list).
Escape Artist is the best root break in the game. Breaking snares on demand with 3 seconds of immunity after means melee trains fall off you exactly when you decide they do.
Gnome Leveling Guide: How Fast Does Gnome Level?
Leveling tier: B (a middle-of-the-pack pick on the leveling racial tier list).
Eureka!'s damage boost speeds up kills on a 2-minute cycle, and Escape Artist gets you out of the roots that quest elites love. Good, not transformative.
Best Classes for Gnome in WoW Forever
New in Forever: Gnomes can now roll Priest, and Eureka! boosts their healing spells too, which makes the combo genuinely strong.
- Mage: Eureka! rewards direct damage, which is a Mage's entire job. Line it up with your biggest nukes.
- Warlock: Direct-damage spells get the Eureka! boost, and Escape Artist helps a class with no mobility.
- Priest: New in Forever. Eureka! also boosts Priest healing spells, which makes this combo stronger than it looks.
- Rogue: Escape Artist on a melee class means you dictate every engagement, and Expansive Mind adds energy.
