Level-30 Elemental PvP · 21 / 0 / 0 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 13 October 2026.

How to play this beta version

  1. Use Earthbind placement and Earthbound to create distance or a casting window.
  2. Use Earth Shock for an important cast and Purge when removing a beneficial effect matters.
  3. Cast Lightning Bolt when contact and control permit; use a suitable shock while moving.

What changes from the 51-point build?

  • Lava Burst needs 31 points and Chain Lightning is learned above the beta cap.
  • Lightning Overload is not selected in this control-focused allocation.

For less contested dungeon casting, the Elemental group beta allocation uses Call of Thunder and one Lightning Overload rank instead.

Why this beta talent split?

Earthbound creates a useful root opportunity and needs 21 Elemental points. Enhancement critical chance or Restoration faster Healing Wave are reasonable hybrid choices, but neither replaces the Earthbind root in this control-oriented plan.

When to use

Use when teammate control supplies a safe casting window and the Earthbind root is less important.

How to play Elemental PvP

Apply Flame Shock before Lava Burst when practical: the current talent grants 20% extra Lava Burst damage against your Flame Shock target, not a guaranteed crit. Cast Lightning Bolt when opponents cannot interrupt freely, and use Chain Lightning when additional targets are appropriate. Place useful totems as the fight develops, and save an interrupt for an important enemy cast. Eye of the Storm reduces pushback but does not prevent interrupts.

Why Elemental PvP takes these talents

Elemental Alacrity shortens Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning and Lava Burst casts and unlocks Call of Thunder. Lightning Overload can add a free half-damage lightning cast and is required for Lava Burst. At 3/3, Eye of the Storm reduces pushback on the listed spells by 70%. Improved Healing Wave helps recovery, but this allocation has no Nature's Swiftness for an instant emergency heal.
