Level-30 beta Warrior Mortal Strike PvP build
Level-30 Arms PvP precursor · 16 / 5 / 0 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 16 October 2026.
The 16 Arms / 5 Fury version keeps Rend, Deep Wounds, Overpower support and Spearing Strike, then takes Cruelty for melee critical chance. It is aimed at one-target player pressure: Sweeping Strikes loses much of its purpose when no second enemy is in reach.
Beta talent allocation: 16/5/0
Arms: 16 points
| Talent | Rank | Effect at this rank |
|---|---|---|
| | 2/5 | Increases your Parry chance by 2%. |
| | 3/3 | Increases the Bleed damage done by your Rend ability by 35%. |
| | 5/5 | Tactical Mastery lets you retain up to an additional 15 Rage when you change stances. |
| | 2/2 | Increases the critical strike chance of your Overpower ability by 50%. |
| | 3/3 | Your critical strikes cause your opponent to Bleed, dealing 60% of your melee weapon's average damage over 12 sec. |
| | 1/1 | A brutal attack that deals 40% weapon damage. Deals an additional 80% weapon damage against Giants, Dragonkin, and mounted targets. Mounted targets are dismounted. |
Fury: 5 points
| Talent | Rank | Effect at this rank |
|---|---|---|
| | 5/5 | Improves your chance to get a critical strike with melee attacks by 5%. |
How to play this beta version
- Keep Rend on a target that will survive its ticks; react to Overpower rather than waiting for an unavailable Mortal Strike.
- Use Hamstring for contact and Spearing Strike in Battle Stance, especially against a mounted target.
- Switch to the required shield and stance for Shield Bash when denying a cast matters more than another attack.
What changes from the 51-point build?
- Mortal Strike requires 31 points: this level-30 build has no Mortal Strike healing reduction.
- Pummel is recorded at level 38, so it is not your beta interrupt.
Use the 21-point Arms alternative for repeated two-target fights. It restores Sweeping Strikes, additional parry and an Impale rank, but gives up the five Cruelty ranks.
Why this beta talent split?
Cruelty supports one-target melee pressure. The same five points in Protection could shorten Stun and Fear durations through Iron Will, but would give up the added critical chance. The deeper Arms alternative is for cleave, not an automatic upgrade in a duel.

How to play Mortal Strike PvP
Apply Mortal Strike when your team commits to a target, keep Rend active when bleed pressure is useful, and watch for Bloodthrill to enable Overpower. Use Piercing Howl to slow nearby opponents and save Rage for your next attack or interrupt. Spearing Strike can dismount mounted targets and deals bonus damage to Giants and Dragonkin; it is not a movement ability.
