How to play this beta version

  1. Keep a pet available unless you deliberately switch to the separate Lone Wolf plan.
  2. Plan Aimed Shot and Multi-Shot around their shared cooldown and avoid breaking control.
  3. Use a sting and shots appropriate to the target lifetime; keep enough Mana for utility.

What changes from the 51-point build?

  • Sniper Shot requires 31 points and is unavailable.
  • Viper Sting is recorded at level 36, not within the current beta kit.

The PvP Marksmanship version trades efficiency and some critical-damage ranks for range, Concussive Shot support and Scatter Shot.

Why this beta talent split?

The deeper Marksmanship plan retains Mortal Shots and Barrage for ranged abilities. Survival tracking is a viable lower-critical-chance alternative on matched targets; Beast Mastery Deadly Aspects adds an Auto Shot speed proc. Their value depends on the shot mix and costs the deeper ranged modifiers.

When to use

Use on matched tracked targets when broad personal damage outweighs the deeper ranged modifiers.

Trade-off

Adds Improved Tracking but loses Mortal Shots and Barrage; matching tracking is required.

How to play Marksmanship Raid

Maintain Hunter's Mark when appropriate for the group and fit shots around your auto-attacks and available Mana. Keep your pet attacking safely rather than leaving it in avoidable raid damage. Coordinate Trueshot Aura with other Hunters. Scatter Shot is situational control for eligible adds and can break on damage; it is not part of the boss damage sequence.
