Level-30 beta Priest Shadow PvP build
Level-30 Shadow PvP without Shadowform · 0 / 0 / 21 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 13 October 2026.
Blackout enables Improved Psychic Scream and the build reaches Silence while keeping Mind Flay and Shadow Weaving. It commits the early budget to contested fights rather than kill-triggered Mana recovery, so resource management remains important.
Beta talent allocation: 0/0/21
Shadow: 21 points
| Talent | Rank | Effect at this rank |
|---|---|---|
| | 5/5 | Improves your chance to hit with Shadow spells by 5%. |
| | 5/5 | Gives your Shadow damage spells a 10% chance to stun the target for 3 sec. |
| | 1/2 | Increases the range of your offensive Shadow spells by 10%. |
| | 2/2 | Reduces the cooldown of your Psychic Scream spell by 4 sec. |
| | 1/1 | Assault the target's mind with Shadow energy, causing 63 Shadow damage over 3 sec and slowing their movement speed by 50%. |
| | 2/2 | Your Mind Flay now deals 20% more damage, gains 10 yards increased range, but slows the target's movement speed by 20%. |
| | 1/1 | Afflicts your target with Shadow energy that causes all party members to be healed for 20% of any Shadow spell damage you deal for 30 sec. |
| | 3/3 | Your Shadow damage spells have a 100% chance to increase the Shadow damage you deal by 2% for 15 sec, stacking up to 5 times. |
| | 1/1 | Silences the target, preventing them from casting spells for 5 sec and interrupting their spellcasts for 3 sec. |
How to play this beta version
- Use Mind Flay for pressure and a slow when you have a safe channel opportunity.
- Time Silence and Psychic Scream to create pressure or recovery; avoid wasting both on a target already controlled.
- Use shields and direct healing when needed rather than waiting for an unavailable Shadowform routine.
What changes from the 51-point build?
- Shadowform requires 31 points and cannot be selected.
- Spirit Tap is not taken in this version, so do not assume the PvE allocation's post-kill recovery.
For extended solo questing, the Shadow dungeon/questing build takes Spirit Tap and a longer Shadow Word: Pain instead of the same control investment.
Why this beta talent split?
Silence is retained for player casting pressure. Discipline adds instant-spell or wand support and Holy can protect casts or improve Renew, but either five-point dip removes the active Silence and some Shadow investment.

How to play Shadow PvP
Apply Shadow Word: Pain to targets your team intends to pressure, then use Mind Blast and Mind Flay when you have a safe cast window. Save Silence to interrupt a healer or dangerous caster during a coordinated attack. Psychic Scream can create space against nearby opponents. Shadowform prevents casting healing spells in the current snapshot, so leave it when direct healing is needed. Avoid spreading damage onto targets your team is trying to crowd-control.

Why Shadow PvP takes these talents
Shadowform requires Vampiric Embrace and improves Shadow damage, Mana costs and critical damage while reducing Physical damage taken. It is not an armor bonus. Improved Power Word: Shield and Martyrdom support defense, and Meditation helps Mana regeneration while casting. Silence adds a dedicated control tool. The build has no instant escape from a melee train, so use cover and teammate assistance.
