How to play this beta version

  1. Place traps where opponents must cross them; avoid damage that prematurely ruins the intended control.
  2. Use Deterrence against appropriate physical pressure and Counterattack only after the required parry.
  3. Maintain distance when practical and use the pet and Wing Clip to help create a reset.

What changes from the 51-point build?

  • Strider Kick is not selected in this trap variant.
  • Lacerating Strikes requires 31 points and is absent.

The Survival PvP beta version chooses Strider Kick and more personal durability instead. Entrapment now follows diminishing returns and only the initial Frost Trap trigger.

Why this beta talent split?

Resourcefulness reduces eligible trap and melee Mana costs, fitting repeated trap use. Marksmanship critical chance or Beast Mastery pet durability can help a different damage plan, but each dip removes Resourcefulness and shortens the selected trap-root investment.

How to play Survival Trapper

Use traps and Concussive Shot to create room, then kite around terrain. Counterattack becomes available after a parry and roots an eligible attacker; it is not an unconditional response to every melee hit. Deterrence increases dodge and parry chance when a melee opponent commits. This Survival-heavy plan does not reach Scatter Shot, unlike a hybrid control build with more Marksmanship points.
