Ruins of Lordaeron Dungeon Guide - WoW Forever

Ruins of Lordaeron takes a level 15-20 group into the ruins above the Undercity. Its Tirisfal Glades location makes it especially convenient for Horde characters, while Alliance groups should plan for a longer trip.

Six encounters are named in the current beta records, along with 20 observed boss drops and two pieces of Rotmender’s Raiment.

How to reach Ruins of Lordaeron

The entrance is around 71.6, 11.4 in the ruins above the Undercity in Tirisfal Glades. Horde characters can usually combine the trip with nearby quests.

Alliance players can enter, but the journey through Horde territory is longer and riskier. If you are leveling Alliance, Hall of Thanes may be the more convenient early option.

A dungeon map showing the layout has been published by foreverchanges.pro.

The six encounters

Six encounters are confirmed, but the kill order and mechanics are not documented well enough for a full walkthrough. Use the list below as a roster and expect the live dungeon to refine it.

EncounterWhat We Know
WitherfangThe name suggests a withered beast. Mechanics are unconfirmed.
The BaronLikely a fallen Lordaeron noble. Nothing else is confirmed.
The AbandonedLikely one of Lordaeron's dead. Mechanics are unconfirmed.
BjorkThe name fits a troll or ogre better than an undead. Nothing else is confirmed.
Rath'maelThe name suggests an undead spellcaster. Mechanics are unconfirmed.
Viktor the VileAn optional secret wave event, not a standard boss kill. The trigger and spawns have not been documented.

A disputed seventh name: foreverchanges.pro also lists "Lordaeron Captain." That entry is disputed. It may be a rare spawn rather than a boss. Count six encounters for now.

Loot and set pieces

The current data tracks 20 boss items and all 20 have been seen dropping. The confirmed drops are blue quality, and bosses can also drop Blueprint recipes used for camp buffs.

Two of the five Rotmender’s Raiment pieces are recorded here, giving healers and set collectors a reason to return after the first clear.

Because WoW Forever is still in beta, the loot table may change before the November 4, 2026 launch.

Party Setup

A standard five-player group works: one tank, one healer, three DPS.

Warrior is a solid tank choice at these levels. For healing, Priest, Druid, and Shaman can all fill the role.

With boss mechanics still undocumented, a proper tank and healer matter more than usual.

Where It Fits While Leveling

For Horde characters, Ruins of Lordaeron slots into the early Tirisfal Glades leveling path. The 15-20 range makes it a useful stop for experience, dungeon quests, and early upgrades without leaving the zone.

For a complete leveling route, check the WoW Forever leveling guides.

Ruins of Lordaeron vs Hall of Thanes

The two dungeons serve the same purpose for opposite factions. Different locations, bosses, and loot. Same idea: an early dungeon near your faction's starting zones.
