How to play this beta version

  1. Apply damage over time while keeping space from enemies that want melee combat.
  2. Use Curse of Exhaustion when slowing the opponent is more valuable than another Curse.
  3. Use Drain Life in a useful channel window and manage Life Tap around incoming damage.

What changes from the 51-point build?

  • Wrack is unavailable at this budget.
  • Fel Concentration helps damage-related channel disruption, not immunity to an enemy interrupt or silence.

For less contested PvE fights, the Affliction group variant restores Suppression and additional Malevolence ranks instead of the kiting chain.

Why this beta talent split?

Siphon Life stays alongside Curse of Exhaustion and channel support. Demonology Stamina can improve durability and Destruction Bane can shorten casts, but their five-point dips give up the recovery spell and several pressure ranks.

How to play Affliction PvP

Apply Corruption and other relevant Affliction effects to targets your team wants to pressure. Use Curse of Exhaustion against opponents you need to kite, then move between safe drain channels. Siphon Life is a separate damage-and-healing spell in this snapshot. Nightfall makes the next Shadow Bolt instant, but does not remove its Mana cost. Avoid applying damage over time to targets reserved for breakable crowd control, and use Life Tap when your health and healer support allow it.

Why Affliction PvP takes these talents

Amplify Curse is required for Curse of Exhaustion. Soul Siphon improves the listed drain spells according to the other Affliction effects active on the target; it does not turn every damage-over-time effect into healing. Shadow Mastery increases Shadow damage, and Fel Concentration helps protect drain channels from damage pushback. With only three points in Demonic Embrace and no Soul Link, positioning remains a major part of survival.
