Level-30 beta Rogue Combat PvP build

Level-30 Combat PvP · 4 / 17 / 0 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 13 October 2026.

The 4 Assassination / 17 Combat split pairs a longer Gouge with full Improved Kick, Riposte and Improved Sprint. It trades Blade Flurry and some damage support for one-target control, which is useful when denying a cast or making room to recover decides the fight.

How to play this beta version

  1. Use Sinister Strike to build points and keep enough Energy for Kick or Gouge.
  2. Time Gouge around your own bleeds and poisons: damage ends the control.
  3. Use Improved Sprint to remove movement impairments and Riposte when a parry opens it; plan Kick around an important enemy cast.

What changes from the 51-point build?

  • Blade Flurry is not selected in this split; there is no cleave cooldown in the beta priority.
  • Flawless Execution and Dual Wield Specialization are also omitted; do not assume their Energy or off-hand bonuses.

Use the deeper Combat alternative for coordinated cleave windows. Its Blade Flurry and Flawless Execution replace the longer Gouge and most of this split's Assassination investment.

Why this beta talent split?

The longer Assassination Gouge complements full Combat Kick support without depending on a second enemy. Subtlety stealth bonuses can help the opener, but do not extend Gouge or replace the guaranteed added silence selected here.

How to play Combat PvP

Open from stealth when possible and use stuns or Gouge to create an attack window. Activate Adrenaline Rush when you can stay on the target, then spend Energy without capping it. Riposte becomes available after you parry an attack, not after you dodge. Use Blade Flurry only when its extra damage will not break nearby crowd control. Keep Kick available for an important cast rather than spending every global on damage.
