Level-30 Fire dungeon caster · 0 / 21 / 0 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 16 October 2026.
Improved Fireball, Ignite and Improved Scorch retain the Fire damage foundation. Heating Up supports shorter Pyroblast casts and the final point adds Critical Mass; the build is for level-30 group play, before the full raid build is available.
Beta talent allocation: 0/21/0
Fire: 21 points
| Talent | Rank | Effect at this rank |
|---|---|---|
| | 5/5 | Reduces the casting time of your Fireball and Frostfire Bolt spells by 0.5 sec. |
| | 5/5 | Your critical strikes from Fire damage spells cause the target to burn for an additional 40% of your spell's damage over 4 sec. |
| | 1/2 | Increases the range of your Fire spells by 3 yards. |
| | 3/3 | Gives your Fire spells a 70% chance to not lose casting time when you take damage and reduces the threat caused by your Fire spells by 30%. |
| | 1/1 | Hurls an immense fiery boulder that causes 101 to 131 Fire damage and an additional 44 Fire damage over 12 sec. |
| | 3/3 | Your Scorch spell has a 100% chance to cause your target to be vulnerable to Fire damage. This vulnerability increases all Fire damage you deal to your target by 3% and lasts 30 sec, stacking up to 5 times. |
| | 1/1 | Non-periodic critical strikes with Fireball, Frostfire Bolt, Fire Blast, and Scorch reduce the cast time of your next Pyroblast cast within 20 sec by 25%, stacking up to 3 times. Fire Blast grants an additional stack every time it deals damage. |

How to play this beta version
- Use Fireball during safe casting windows and maintain useful Improved Scorch support on durable targets.
- Use Heating Up stacks to judge whether a Pyroblast cast fits the available window.
- Use Flamestrike only when several enemies can safely take damage and the Mana expenditure is worthwhile.
What changes from the 51-point build?
- Combustion needs 31 points and Fire Power is beyond this allocation.
- Heating Up reduces cast time in stacks; it does not automatically grant an instant Pyroblast.
The Fire PvP beta build chooses Blast Wave and more control support instead of the same critical-chance and Mana-return investment.
Why this beta talent split?
Keep full Improved Scorch and the deeper Fire choices for a durable group target. Frost Elemental Precision is a useful alternative when spell misses matter more; early Arcane talents mainly help Arcane spells or wands. The Frost dip loses Scorch investment, so it is not free hit support.

Use on short-lived targets where you cannot establish Scorch stacks and spell misses remain a problem.
Adds Elemental Precision but loses Improved Scorch, Critical Mass and Master of Elements.

How to play Fire Raid
Use Fireball as the main cast, maintain Improved Scorch when the personal damage bonus is worth the globals, and watch Heating Up stacks. Qualifying crits shorten your next Pyroblast by 25% per stack, up to three stacks. Spend that faster cast when it fits the encounter. This allocation does not take Combustion, so its damage plan depends on ordinary casts and crit-driven effects.

Why Fire Raid takes these talents
Ignite adds periodic damage after Fire crits, while Heating Up requires Pyroblast and reduces its cast time. Critical Mass adds Fire crit chance. Arcane Concentration can make a later damage spell free, and Arcane Meditation supports Mana regeneration while casting. Improved Scorch applies a personal Fire damage bonus rather than a raid-wide debuff.
