Level-30 beta Warrior Arms Raid DPS build
Level-30 Arms dungeon and questing build · 21 / 0 / 0 · 21 standard talent points. Reviewed 13 October 2026.
The beta allocation keeps the Rend-to-Deep Wounds prerequisite chain, Impale and Sweeping Strikes. It is a melee dungeon starting point for the raid build, with talents for hitting a second target before the full level-60 rotation is available.
Beta talent allocation: 21/0/0
Arms: 21 points
| Talent | Rank | Effect at this rank |
|---|---|---|
| | 3/3 | Reduces the cost of your Heroic Strike ability by 3 Rage. |
| | 2/5 | Increases your Parry chance by 2%. |
| | 3/3 | Increases the Bleed damage done by your Rend ability by 35%. |
| | 5/5 | Tactical Mastery lets you retain up to an additional 15 Rage when you change stances. |
| | 2/2 | Increases the critical strike chance of your Overpower ability by 50%. |
| | 3/3 | Your critical strikes cause your opponent to Bleed, dealing 60% of your melee weapon's average damage over 12 sec. |

How to play this beta version
- Keep a suitable two-handed weapon current and let the tank establish threat.
- Use Rend when the target lives long enough; react to Overpower and spend excess Rage carefully.
- Use Sweeping Strikes on a controlled two-target pull, not beside a crowd-controlled enemy.
What changes from the 51-point build?
- Mortal Strike is a 31-point talent and is not part of this beta rotation.
- The beta allocation is for available group content, not a tested level-60 raid damage ranking.
For solo PvP and defensive play, the separate Arms PvP beta allocation trades some offensive ranks for Deflection and Spearing Strike.
Why this beta talent split?
Sweeping Strikes is the reason to keep all 21 points in Arms for controlled two-target pulls. Fury offers Cruelty for single-target pressure; early Protection adds defense or Rage support but does not replace the duplicated melee hits.
Alternative beta buildArms with Fury critical support 16/5/0Talent split
Use for predominantly single-target fights rather than reliable cleave.
Gives up Sweeping Strikes and some defensive and Impale ranks for full Cruelty.

How to play Arms Raid DPS
Fight behind the boss when positioning allows. Prioritize Mortal Strike and keep enough Rage for your next ability; queue Heroic Strike only when you can afford the extra Rage cost. Use Sweeping Strikes when a second valid target is close, without breaking crowd control. Rend benefits from the selected talents, but compare its damage per global with your other attacks rather than refreshing it automatically. Spearing Strike is a situational attack, including bonus damage against Giants and Dragonkin; it is not a gap closer.

Why Arms Raid DPS takes these talents
Deep Wounds requires Improved Rend, and Impale requires a fully ranked Deep Wounds. Improved Tactical Mastery is maxed to unlock Anger Management and retain more Rage during stance changes. Two-Handed Weapon Specialization supports the weapon choice, while Cruelty and Unbridled Wrath add crit chance and Rage support. Enrage triggers from incoming damage, so do not take avoidable raid damage to activate it.
