Warrior Leveling Guide
for WoW Forever (1-60)

Warrior is the slowest leveler in WoW Forever and one of the strongest classes at 60. That tradeoff defines the whole experience: the first 30 levels demand patience and good weapons, and the payoff is a class that tanks and DPSes at the top of every group list. If you want easy, play Hunter. If you want to earn it, keep reading.
Best Warrior leveling spec
Arms for solo leveling. It hits the hardest per swing, which is what matters when every mob is a fight. The standout is Victory Rush, which heals you after a killing blow and gives Warriors their first real sustain while leveling.
Protection if you tank dungeons. Beta testers report Protection (0/0/21) leveling well for Warriors who live in dungeon groups: Arms talents for the first 15 points, then respec to Protection at 16 (it costs 1 silver), using Thunder Clap in Defensive Stance with rage generated from blocked attacks.
Talent picks are beta-testing notes. They will be updated as new builds land.
Warrior key abilities and talents
- Victory Rush: your sustain. It only works right after you land a killing blow, so finish weakened mobs with it and watch your health bar refill between pulls.
- Charge and Hamstring: open with Charge, Hamstring anything that runs. Kiting runners wastes more time than anything else at low levels.
- Thunder Clap: your AoE tool, and the core of the Protection dungeon build in Defensive Stance.
- Stances matter.Battle Stance for solo damage, Defensive Stance when you are tanking. Sitting in the wrong stance is the most common Warrior leveling mistake.
Warrior weapons and gear
This is the entire class, honestly. A Warrior's kill speed tracks weapon upgrades more closely than any other class. A new green weapon every 5 levels beats five talent points. Check the Auction House and quest rewards constantly, and never let your weapon fall more than a few levels behind you.
Armor-wise, wear the highest armor you can until 40, then start favoring strength and crit. Keep a shield and one-hander in your bags even as Arms. You will tank a dungeon eventually, and groups remember the Warrior who came prepared.
Best professions for Warrior
Blacksmithing + Mining is the classic pairing: you make your own weapons and sharpening stones. Engineering is the fun alternative. Target dummies and bombs solve problems talents cannot. Level First Aid no matter what; bandages are your only heal outside Victory Rush windows.
Warrior leveling tips
- Pull one mob at a time until you trust your gear. Warriors punish greed harder than any class.
- Eat after every 2-3 pulls in the early levels. It feels slow; dying feels slower.
- Hamstring runners immediately. Chasing a mob at 10% health into two more mobs is how Warriors die.
- Tank dungeons when you can. Instant invites, great XP from the buffed dungeon quests, and first pick of other people's unwanted plate.
- Save gold for your mount at 40. You have no speed abilities, so the mount changes your life more than any talent.
Warrior leveling FAQs
Why is Warrior ranked B tier for leveling?
Gear dependence. Every other class has a pet, a heal, or an escape to cover for bad gear. Warriors have none of those, so the early levels are rough until weapons catch up.
Arms or Fury for leveling?
Arms. Fury needs crit gear to function, which you will not have while leveling. Arms hits harder per swing with the weapons you actually own.
Is Warrior worth leveling despite the slow start?
If you want to tank or top melee DPS at 60, yes. Nothing else does both jobs this well. If you only care about reaching 60 fast, pick Hunter.
