Predator's Edge sits in row 4 of the Hunter Survival tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role. It can take up to 5 points. Max it fully, or put in a few points just to open the rows below.

New in Forever. This talent never existed in Classic, so don't go looking for an old version to compare. There is none.

What Predator's Edge does at each rank

A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.

  1. Rank 1: Increases your melee critical strike damage by 6% and your offhand weapon damage by 10%.
  2. Rank 2: Increases your melee critical strike damage by 12% and your offhand weapon damage by 20%.
  3. Rank 3: Increases your melee critical strike damage by 18% and your offhand weapon damage by 30%.
  4. Rank 4: Increases your melee critical strike damage by 24% and your offhand weapon damage by 40%.
  5. Rank 5: Increases your melee critical strike damage by 30% and your offhand weapon damage by 50%.

How to reach Predator's Edge

Row 4 opens after you spend 15 points in the earlier Survival rows. Level 25 is the earliest you can pick up Predator's Edge.

Is Predator's Edge worth the points?

Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
