Eye for an Eye
Paladin · Retribution · Row 4 of 7 · 2 ranks
Changed from Classic
Eye for an Eye sits in row 4 of the Paladin Retribution tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role. It can take up to 2 points. Max it fully, or put in a few points just to open the rows below.
Changed from Classic. This talent now works differently than in Classic, so read the ranks below before you spend any points.
What Eye for an Eye does at each rank
A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.
- Rank 1: All critical strikes against you cause 5% of the damage taken to the attacker as well. The damage caused by Eye for an Eye will not exceed 50% of the Paladin's total health.
- Rank 2: All critical strikes against you cause 10% of the damage taken to the attacker as well. The damage caused by Eye for an Eye will not exceed 50% of the Paladin's total health.
How to reach Eye for an Eye
Row 4 opens after you spend 15 points in the earlier Retribution rows. Level 25 is the earliest you can pick up Eye for an Eye.
Is Eye for an Eye worth the points?
Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
