How to play this beta version
- Use Bear Form, establish threat and use Primal Bite for focused threat when Rage allows.
- Use Swipe for appropriate multi-target pressure and Demoralizing Roar when its debuff matters.
- Use Feral Charge and Bash for useful control, preserving enough Rage for threat after repositioning.
What changes from the 51-point build?
- Dire Bear Form is learned at 40 and Berserk requires 31 points.
- Lacerate is recorded at level 42; do not place it in the beta tank rotation.
The Furor alternative starts Bear shifts with Rage, but reduces Heart of the Wild and Swipe investment and gives up the party critical aura. Keep the deeper tank plan for sustained pulls when those defensive and group benefits matter more.
Why this beta talent split?
Keep full Heart of the Wild and Swipe investment with the party aura for sustained tanking. Restoration Furor is useful for opening Rage after a shift; Balance Genesis affects periodic effects and does not improve the core Swipe/Primal Bite tank routine.

How to play Feral Bear Tank
Stay in Bear Form or Dire Bear Form while actively tanking. Use Primal Bite for high threat and Swipe when nearby enemies need coverage; spend Rage on Maul only when you can still afford your next ability. Feral Charge helps engage or recover positioning. Use your available defensive tools before dangerous damage, and coordinate any shift to heal with your group because leaving bear form removes its defensive benefits.

Why Feral Bear Tank takes these talents
Savage Fury unlocks Primal Bite, whose tooltip specifically requires a bear form. Thick Hide adds base armor from character level and qualifying defense skill, with form multipliers applying afterward. Natural Reaction increases dodge and generates Rage on dodges. Leader of the Pack provides crit support. This allocation also includes talents with cat or bleed value, so compare those points with Berserk or other options for the encounter rather than treating the plan as a final best-in-slot tank build.
