What each rank of Bastion does

Each point buys one rank. Compare the effects below to decide how many points to spend.

  1. Rank 1: Increases all damage you deal by 2% while a shield is equipped.
  2. Rank 2: Increases all damage you deal by 4% while a shield is equipped.
  3. Rank 3: Increases all damage you deal by 6% while a shield is equipped.
  4. Rank 4: Increases all damage you deal by 8% while a shield is equipped.
  5. Rank 5: Increases all damage you deal by 10% while a shield is equipped.

How to reach it

Row 6 opens after you spend 25 points in the earlier Protection rows. Level 35 is the earliest you can pick up Bastion.

Is Bastion worth the points?

Compare the benefit of another rank with your other talent choices. Take the final rank when it supports your build. You can leave it partially ranked if you do not need the final effect or its dependent talents.
