Weaponmaster Weaponmaster

Warrior · Arms · Row 5 of 7 · 5 ranks
NEW in Forever

Weaponmaster sits in row 5 of the Warrior Arms tree. A talent tree is simply the grid of talents for one class role. It can take up to 5 points. Max it fully, or put in a few points just to open the rows below.

New in Forever. This talent never existed in Classic, so don't go looking for an old version to compare. There is none.

What Weaponmaster does at each rank

A rank is one level of a talent. Every rank makes the effect a bit stronger. The list below uses the exact wording from the beta client, word for word.

  1. Rank 1: Gives your melee weapon attacks a benefit depending on the weapon. Axe/Polearm: Increases your critical strike chance by 1%. Mace/Staff: Your attacks ignore 3% of your target's armor. Sword: Your successful melee attacks have a 1% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.
  2. Rank 2: Gives your melee weapon attacks a benefit depending on the weapon. Axe/Polearm: Increases your critical strike chance by 2%. Mace/Staff: Your attacks ignore 6% of your target's armor. Sword: Your successful melee attacks have a 2% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.
  3. Rank 3: Gives your melee weapon attacks a benefit depending on the weapon. Axe/Polearm: Increases your critical strike chance by 3%. Mace/Staff: Your attacks ignore 9% of your target's armor. Sword: Your successful melee attacks have a 3% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.
  4. Rank 4: Gives your melee weapon attacks a benefit depending on the weapon. Axe/Polearm: Increases your critical strike chance by 4%. Mace/Staff: Your attacks ignore 12% of your target's armor. Sword: Your successful melee attacks have a 4% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.
  5. Rank 5: Gives your melee weapon attacks a benefit depending on the weapon. Axe/Polearm: Increases your critical strike chance by 5%. Mace/Staff: Your attacks ignore 15% of your target's armor. Sword: Your successful melee attacks have a 5% chance to trigger an extra attack on the target.

How to reach Weaponmaster

Row 5 opens after you spend 20 points in the earlier Arms rows. Level 30 is the earliest you can pick up Weaponmaster.

Is Weaponmaster worth the points?

Every rank makes the effect stronger, so putting in a few points while leveling is totally fine. Max it when the final rank is the heart of your endgame build. And if you only need it as a stepping stone, no shame in stopping early.
