Common Mage talent questions

New to the lingo? A spec is the tree you spend most of your points in. A rank is one level of a talent. DPS means damage-dealing.

How many talent points does a Mage get?

You get 51 talent points at level 60. Your first point comes at level 10, then one more each level. The planner above counts your points as you click.

How many Mage talents are in the beta?

54 in the current beta build. They are split across Arcane, Fire and Frost. Each talent is counted once, even if it has more than one rank. Turn on Compare to Classic above to see which talents are new or changed.
