You get 51 talent points at level 60. Your first point comes at level 10, then one more each level. The planner above counts your points as you click.
How many Rogue talents are in the beta?
53 in the current beta build. They are split across Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Each talent is counted once, even if it has more than one rank. Turn on Compare to Classic above to see which talents are new or changed.
What is new for Rogue in WoW Forever?

Where do I spend my first 5 Rogue points?
Put them in the first row. Only the first row is open at the start. Common picks are Improved Gouge and Remorseless Attacks in Assassination; Improved Eviscerate and Improved Sinister Strike in Combat; Camouflage and Master of Deception in Subtlety. More rows open as you spend points in the tree.

Which Rogue tree should I start with?
Choose Assassination for poison pressure, Combat for direct weapon damage, or Subtlety for control and PvP tools.
Mutilate or Backstab?
Mutilate builds combo points faster up front. Backstab still hits harder per energy, if you can stay behind the target. The right pick depends on the fight.

Subtlety controls fights; Assassination ends them fast. Both are alive in the Forever meta, so test both in beta and pick the one that clicks.
