Common Warrior talent questions
New to the lingo? A spec is the tree you spend most of your points in. A rank is one level of a talent. DPS means damage-dealing.
How many talent points does a Warrior get?
You get 51 talent points at level 60. Your first point comes at level 10, then one more each level. The planner above counts your points as you click.
How many Warrior talents are in the beta?
52 in the current beta build. They are split across Arms, Fury and Protection. Each talent is counted once, even if it has more than one rank. Turn on Compare to Classic above to see which talents are new or changed.
What is new for Warrior in WoW Forever?
10 so far. Turn on Compare to Classic above and they are marked purple in the tree. These talents did not exist in Classic.
Which Warrior talents are new in WoW Forever?
Spearing Strike, Bloodthrill, Weaponmaster, Lingering Rage, Furious Precision, Raging Blows, Gore Drinker, Master of Defense, Vanguard and Focused Rage. These are the new Warrior talents. They did not exist in Classic. The rest are Classic talents, but some have been changed.
Where do I spend my first 5 Warrior points?
Put them in the first row. Only the first row is open at the start. Common picks are Improved Heroic Strike and Deflection in Arms; Booming Voice and Cruelty in Fury; Improved Bloodrage and Shield Specialization in Protection. More rows open as you spend points in the tree.
Did Warrior lose any talents during the beta?
Yes, four in build 70170: Improved Cleave, Boundless Rage, Precision and Toughness. Improved Cleave was replaced by Furious Precision, which gives off-hand hit chance instead of Cleave cost reduction, and Precision's hit bonus lives on there too. Boundless Rage and Toughness were removed with no direct replacement.
Which Warrior tree should I start with?
Arms is a practical first stop for leveling; Protection is the group-first choice and Fury becomes more attractive as your gear improves.
Is Mortal Strike still the PvP pick?
Yes. Deep Arms with Mortal Strike is still the classic duelist, and Spearing Strike punishes mounted targets and big creature types on top. Test the timing in beta before you commit, since weapon speed changes everything.
Which Warrior tree levels fastest?
Arms with a slow two-hander, for most people. Fury pulls ahead once your gear and hit rating can support it, which is usually later. Open both starter builds above and keep the one that feels better.
