Common Druid talent questions
New to the lingo? A spec is the tree you spend most of your points in. A rank is one level of a talent. DPS means damage-dealing.
How many talent points does a Druid get?
You get 51 talent points at level 60. Your first point comes at level 10, then one more each level. The planner above counts your points as you click.
How many Druid talents are in the beta?
52 in the current beta build. They are split across Balance, Feral Combat and Restoration. Each talent is counted once, even if it has more than one rank. Turn on Compare to Classic above to see which talents are new or changed.
What is new for Druid in WoW Forever?
15 so far. Turn on Compare to Classic above and they are marked purple in the tree. These talents did not exist in Classic.
Which Druid talents are new in WoW Forever?
Genesis, Nature's Majesty, Nature's Splendor, Overgrowth, Eclipse, Shifting Power, Primal Bite, Improved Shifting Power, Natural Instinct, Natural Reaction, Rend and Tear, Berserk, Gift of the Earthmother, Living Spirit and Wild Growth. These are the new Druid talents. They did not exist in Classic. The rest are Classic talents, but some have been changed.
Where do I spend my first 5 Druid points?
Put them in the first row. Only the first row is open at the start. Common picks are Improved Wrath and Genesis in Balance; Ferocity and Heart of the Wild in Feral Combat; Nature's Focus and Furor in Restoration. More rows open as you spend points in the tree.
Did Druid lose any talents during the beta?
A mix. Mangle became Primal Bite and Primal Fury became Blood Frenzy back in build 70009 — same talents, new names. King of the Jungle was removed in build 70170 after Tiger's Fury was removed from the game, leaving it with no purpose. In build 70291, Predatory Instincts was renamed Natural Instinct and gained a spell-healing bonus. If your saved build uses the old names, update them.
Which Druid tree should I start with?
Feral is a practical leveling starting point, while Restoration and Balance are clearer choices for healing or ranged damage.
Cat or Bear for leveling?
Cat kills faster; Bear survives bad pulls. Most players run Cat and shift into Bear when the pull goes wrong. And pulls go wrong.
When do I get Moonkin Form?
Deep in the Balance tree. Level as Feral (it is faster), then pay the trainer to respec at 60 if you want the feathers.
